26 of 27 COVID VACCINE STOCKS FALL on last day of 2020

Brutal loss on last day of the year. Everything down except little Generex which vaulted forward a full 27%. 

Generex's performance single-handedly added one percent to the overall average return moving it to a loss of only 2.7%. 

No stock had a double digit loss but several had high single digit losses lead by Dynavax - down over 9% followed by:  VBI, NanTKwest, Arcturus, Nanoviricides, Novavax, Moderna and Sorrento.

 

Arcturus gains some back. NanTKwest and VBI strong

A mildly positive day with an overall average gain of 1.3%.  15 stocks were up with 11 down. 

Arcturus mitigated some of the recent trauma with a 10% gain. Both NanTKwest and VBI Vaccines had strong 7% gains.

 

Arcturus collapses - down 54%

Arcturus collapses on some bad news. It fell a full 54% for one of the worst day of any COVID VACCINE STOCK ever. 

The overall average fell 4.7% as a result of this collapse. Without Arcturus the rest of the stocks still fell 2.8% for one of the toughest days we've seen - the second of two rough days in the last week of December.

Twenty-two stocks fell with five gaining ground.  OncoSec managed a nice gain of almost 9%. 

Other notable catastrophes for the day include: Vaxart, Nano Viricides, Inovio and NanTKwest - all with large single digit losses.

 

COVID CARNAGE: CureVac and NanTKwest get wrecked.

A real brutal day for COVID VACCINE STOCKS. The overall average loss reached 4.4% today. Curevac and NanTKwest lead the way down with 13% and 10% losses respectively. 

Fully 23 stocks lost ground with four of the smallest eight stocks eking out gains.

All of the 17 largest stocks lost ground - some significantly. 

Three key stocks -- Moderna, Biontech and Novavax all lost over 9%.

VBI, Translate Bio, Dynavax, Vaxart, Inovio, Sorrento and Arturus all had high single digit losses.

IMV had the best day by far with a 9% gain.

 

BOTTOM TEN STATIC - PDS Bio moves out

PDS Bio escapes the Bottom Ten with a gain of 22% in its total return since 

March 1. Atara falls in even though it eked out an overall gain of 5%. Tonix and Dynavax move up incrementally. 

 

NanTKwest flies! Moves to 6th overall. Novavax strong again.

NanTKwest is the story of the week with the biggest break out of any COVID VACCINE STOCK rocketing its overall return up more than 100% in one week. It was one of the few stocks that has been in the bottom ten and the top ten.

Novavax also re-established its plus 700% return rate with a large 28% addition to its overall return. Both Moderna and BioNTech faltered significantly along with Altimmune. VBI has been bumped out of the top ten with a drop in its return of 10% this week.

The average overall return of all 27 stocks stayed very much the same, gaining 1% to 153%.

 

Sorrento breaks out - up 18%. Novavax strong.

Thirteen stocks up today and 12 down. It was a good day overall with an average gain for all the stocks together of 1.4%. 

Sorrento had the biggest move with more than an 18% gain followed by Tonix with over a 15% gain. Novavax had a greater than 10% gain and Dynavax gained just under 10%.

Arcturus lead the group down with a 14% loss. CureVac lost 7%.

 

Moderna and Novavax fall - NanTKwest and OncoSec strong.

 

Rough day for COVID VACCINE stocks with 17 falling. The overall average loss was 1.4% which represents a pretty serious fall. The big boys, Moderna and Novavax lead the group down falling 9% and 7% respectively.

NanTKwest was up a full 10% with OncoSec up another 8% today to lead the way up.

Emergent Bio makes move in little changed BOTTOM TEN

Emergent Bio made a strong move - overall average moving from 51% to 74%. It moves up to 10th worst performer from ninth. Alnylam gained ground as well.

The poorest performer was PDS Bio, falling from a return of 81% down to 69%. Overall, the bottom ten was completely flat on average.

 

Top Ten COVID VACCINE STOCKS fade this week after recent historic moves

Strong Day - Onco Sec explodes upwards 21%.

A very strong day for these stocks. OncoSec had a breakout day -- up over 21%.

A lot of action for Novavax as Phase III results are pending. The number one COVID VACCINE STOCK gained another 9% today. 

Overall, the index gained 2.2% with 19 gainers and 8 losers.

Dynavax, Tonix, Translate Bio, Altimmune and VBI all had strong high single digit gains. 

GeoVax gave back another large piece of recent major advances, losing over 13% today.

 

Translate Bio slammed - down 21%. Heat Biologics and OncoSec up just under 10%

Twice as many Covid vaccine stocks fell as went up. The average loss was 2% overall. 

Translate Bio had its worst day this year, falling 21% after recent strong gains.

Both Arcturus and Moderna fell around 7% while Vir and Dynavax fell around 6%.

In contrast, Heat Biologics rocked forward with a return of just under 10% today. OncoSec also gained 8% to lead the gainers today.

 

Covid Stocks drift lower, lowing 0.8%. Geovax climbs 14%.

Covid stocks drift lower - the average was an 0.8% pullback. There were 15 stocks that fell and 12 went up. 

GeoVax continues to bounce around, today jumping up almost 14%.  Inovio was the only other stock with a significant gain today, climbing up almost 5%. 

Heat Biologics lead the way down, falling a full 7% while yesterday's winner, Altimmune gave back 6% as did Sorrento. Both Dynavax and Generex fell 5%.

 

BionTech falls and Altimmune goes on a run to start the week.

BionTech falls just as its vaccines get into some arms. 

Altimmune has promising day, breaking well in to the $13 range and getting a double digit gain to lead on the upside.  Translate Bio continues its recent strong run. VBIV also has a strong day, up just under 7%.

GeoVax gives back over 7% of recent gains and NantKwest and Inovio fall almost 6% each.

 

PDSB and IMV fall back on quiet week for BOTTOM TEN

PDS Bio back into the BOTTOM TEN with a big fall this week as Adaptive climbs out.

iBio next worst performer, but holds on to its spot as third from worst.

IMV and EBS switch spots after IMV's tough week - its overall return falling from a loss of 39% to a loss of 51% since March 1.

Novavax back home in Number One spot. Translate Bio biggest move.

Arcturus' stay in the number 1 spot was short-lived. Novavax skipped ahead with a gain of 8% overall return since March 1, while Arcturus fell back 44% from its explosive moves the previous weeks. It still has a total return of 665% since March 1 while Novavax has returned 681%. Novavax has held title to the top spot except for a few short-lived absences.

Translate Bio's return was up 39% to move it from 10th to 7th. GeoVax also moved back into the top ten with a move of 38% this week. This bumped out Inovio from the group.

Both Moderna and BionTech had strong weeks with Moderna the third best stock, now with a return of 505% since March 1. 

It was a strong week with the overall average of all these stocks up from 141% to 160%. 

 

Arcturus roars back - 18% gain.

Bouncy day with some big winners and some big losers. Overall the stocks averaged a 0.2% gain with 15 stocks up and 12 down.

Little Geovax gave back a big chunk of the huge gain yesterday, falling over 26%. Heat Biologics also was hit with a 12% crater.  CureVac and iBio were hit hard today.

Arcturus got back to its winning ways with a strong 18% gain.  Vir had its best day in a long while with a greater than 9% gain.

NantKwest, Adaptive, BioNTech and IMV also had strong high single digit gains.

GeoVax up 79% - Rest collapse

Train wreck of a day for COVID VACCINE STOCKS. Fully 24 of 27 fell, some by a lot. However, the overall average was only a loss of 0.6% thanks to the freaky blowing up of little GeoVax which literally went up 79%.

PDS Bio fell almost 12%. Arcturus and Atra fell 11%. Moderna and TBIO fell 8%.

Altimmune and NantKwest fell 7%. Brutal day.
 

CureVac rolls on - up 14%. Arcturus hammered 19%.

Mostly flat day with an overall average loss of 0.2%. There were quite notable exceptions. CureVac took its turn in the sun with a stellar gain of almost 14%. 

Moderna continued its amazing run - now the company is worth over $67B in market cap with another 6% gain today. 

Arcturus gave back a big chunk of recent gains with a 19% drop. iBio was also hammered, losing almost 13%. 

Tonix fell over 7% to post the third biggest loss for the day.
 

GeoVax and NanTKwest lead the way up to start the week

The overall average was up 2.1% today for a relatively strong day. Several Covid Vaccine Stocks had spectacular day. 

Geovax lead with an 18% gain followed by NanTKwest with a greater than 13% move upward. 

Adaptive Bio, Tonix and Arcturus also had double digit gains.

PDSB lead the way down with a 11% drop and Dynavax dropped almost 8%. 

Fourteen stocks were up and 13 down.

 

CureVac moves out of BOTTOM TEN with strong week

All the action is at the top end not down here at the bottom.

CureVac rocks its way out of the BOTTOM TEN. Other than that, not much action.

NEW #1 -- Arcturus!!

For the first time since July 18, Novavax is not the number 1 COVID VACCINE STOCK. 

Arcturus has exploded up to the top spot. Arcturus has now returned 709% since March 1. This is a gain percentage return of 260% just this week. This is the best week any COVID VACCINE STOCK has ever had.

The other emerging major winner is Moderna. Its gain has gone from 390% to 488%.

Altimmune, Translate Bio and OncoSec also had decent weeks, but not like the big guns:  Arcturus and Moderna.

 

PDSB and Arcturus lead the group up on flat Friday.

More than half of the gain today comes from two stocks: PDSB and Arcturus. The overall average was a gain of 1.6%. 13 stocks were up and 12 down with two flat.

Altimmune was the poorest performer - down almost 4%.

 

Arcturus and Moderna lead the way.

Arcturus flies up 19% to lead the way. Moderna was up another 10% as it continues its amazing run. Overall, the stocks averaged a gain of 0.8% with 13 up and 13 down.

Both Altimmune and Vaxart had strong upper single digit gains.

 

Altimmune tanks, iBio strong on overall Flat Day

Almost completely flat day - overall average was a gain of less than 0.1% with 14 up and 13 down.

The big loser was yesterday's winner: Altimmune, giving back almost all of yesterday's gain - falling a whopping 14%. 

iBio was the winner, closing up just under 10%. OncoSec, BionTech and CureVac all had high single digit gains.

It was a back to earth today after the recent explosions upward. The overall average was a drop of 2.2%. 

15 stocks were down and 11 up. 

Altimmune had a double digit gain, going up 13%. That was the only strong performance today.

Novavax and Arcturus gave back 11% while Moderna, BionTech, CureVac, VBI and IMV had high single digit losses.
