COVID VACCINE STOCKS slide 0.9% on a flat day.

Relatively flat day for COVID VACCINE stocks. Fourteen fell and 12 went up with one with no change. The average stock lost 0.9%. It is quite rare that he change is less than 1% per day.

Vir lead the way down by losing 9%.  Tonix also lost almost 7%. Little GeoVax climbed almost 8%.

BioNTech was the strongest major COVID VACCINE stock, climbing 3.54%.

 

Sorrento has another great day - lifts COVID VACCINE STOCKS to modest gains.

Sorrento leads the way up again with a solid 14% gain based on good clinical results with anti-body therapy clinical work with hamsters.

Tonix, NNVC and GeoVax also had solid gains, up 6.3%, 5.3% and 5.2% respectively. The latter has a market value of less than $3M after some additional stock offerings and a reverse split.

Overall, 16 stocks were up with 11 down and an average gain of 1.4%.

Inovio crushed by FDA questionning. COVID VACCINE Stocks down slightly

Inovio crushed after FDA questions its approach on the covid vaccine. It's 28% loss is responsible for more than half of the downdraft of COVID VACCINE STOCKS. These stocks lost 1.85% on average.

Thirteen stocks were up while 14 were down.

Sorrento leads the way up with a 5% gain.

 

Total Return of COVID VACCINE STOCKS falls to 117% Novavax and Moderna still the class of the league

Novavax and Moderna the big movers on little changed top ten. Total returns falls to 117% after tough week with bounce back Friday.

 

Huge up day for COVID VACCINE STOCKS - reversing losses from earlier this week.

Complete reversal from yesterday and then some. All but two COVID VACCINE stocks were up. The average covid vaccine stock gained a full 5.2% for one of the best days ever. 

Little Generex reversed its brutal sell off of late and return to the plateau it has been at for most of the summer. It gained 35% today.  Vir, Inovio and our leader, Novavax, had great days - up in the 11% range.

Little GeoVax moved out of last place in market value with a stock offering and reverse split. The net result is a gut-wrenching 16% loss to end the week.

Sentiment on these stocks are facing a lot of volatility -- and they seem to move largely in unison.

 

COVID VACCINE STOCK WASTELAND - 25 of 27 go down.

No COVID VACCINE STOCKS absolutely crushed today, but all but two stocks go down. The average loss was not the worst, but still significant: 3.9%. 

Generex fell further, down 11%. This is the worst performer of all these stocks and now it is taking a serious further step downwards. 

 

COVID VACCINE STOCKS BUCKLE - DOWN 5.6% ON AVERAGE.

Brutal sell-off. COVID VACCINE STOCKS lost an average of 5.6%. Fully 23 of 27 fell -- some by a lot. 

Vaxart buckled down 18%. Generex, Altimmune, Heat Biologics, PDS Bio and Sorrento all had double digit losses. 

Novavax, VBI, OncoSec, Dynavax and NanTKwest had big single digit losses. 

COVID VACCINE STOCKS ON SALE!

 

Sorrento up strongly again - COVID VACCINE STOCKS fall 1% on average.

Calmer day for COVID VACCINE STOCKS. They drift down 1% on average. Sixteen were down and eleven up. 

Sorrento kept its great momentum with 10.6% gain. It now only trails Novavax as the top COVID VACCINE STOCK since March 1. Altimmune was also strong with a 5% gain.

Little GeoVax crumbled some more, down 9% - to drop below $5 million in market value. iBio also hit a downdraft, falling 7%. 

 

COVID VACCINE STOCKS do not buck terrible day.

Tough Day to start the week for COVID VACCINE STOCKS. Overall, the loss was 2.7% on average.  20 of the 27 dropped.

Arcturus took the biggest hit, down 13%. OncoSec and Generex were down 8%.  Atara, Translate NanTKwest, VBI, Dynavax, IMV and NanoViricides had particularly poor days.

Vaxart managed to buck the trend with a nice 9% gain.

 

NanTKwest jumps out of bottom Ten with great week - Return is up 39%.

Bottom Ten Performers have modest gains. NantKwest jumps out of bottom 10.

 

Very Strong week for TOP TEN - Tide has turned positive

Really strong week after many losing weeks for COVID VACCINE STOCKS.

All of the TOP TEN gained ground with Inovio leading the way, moving from a return of 136% up to 297%, moving from seventh overall to fourth. Sorrento also went from fourth to second, from a return of 191% to 335%.

Vaxart jumped into the top ten again, moving up to ninth overall, replacing IMV. 

PDS Bio leads the way. Inovio also strong.

More and more discussion about vaccines in the context of the election and timing of rollout. Things are becoming real. 

There were some winners today: PDS (up 11%) and Inovio (up 8.5%) and some losers: Tonix (down 7%) and Novavax (down 6%). Generally, 19 were up with eight down. The average stock was up 1.1%. 

 

Lots of topsy turvy with COVID VACCINE STOCKS today. Several had an amazing day, while others tanked. Overall, it was a moderately up day with the stocks gaining an average of 0.6%. There were 14 stocks that made gains with 11 falling.

Sorrento was the top stock with a second straight great day - up 13%. Inovio which was the winner yesterday gave back much of those gains today, falling 15.4%. The two smallest stocks, Generex and GeoVax got pounded falling 13% and 7% respectively. 

Other top performers today were Tonix (up 12.7%), OncoSec (up 9.7%), iBio (up 9.3%) and Vaxart (up 8.1%).

 

Powerful updraft for COVID VACCINE STOCKS - Inovio and Sorrento way up!

Another amazing blow out day for COVID VACCINE STOCKS. The average stock climbed an amazing 6.2% with 21 stocks to the upside and six down.

Inovio continues an amazing run - this time up over one third at almost 36%. Sorrento had an amazing breakthrough day, up 20%.

 

High Volatility - but flat overall averages. Inovio way up and Vaxart way down.

Not so much a flat day as a day where everything balanced out at nothing. There were lots of stocks that had terrible days and a fewer that had really a great day.

In total there were 14 stocks up and 13 down. The stocks on average were up 0.1%.

Inovio had a great day - up 20%. Nano Viricides has showed some serious volatility of late, today it was up 13%. 

Moderna and Novavax were relatively strong, while Adaptive Bio, IMV and PDS had high single digit returns.

To the down side, Vaxart buckled down 16% while Sorrento, Dynavax, Altimmune and Geo Vax had high single digit losses.

 

BEST DAY EVER FOR COVID VACCINE STOCKS!

Greatest day all time for COVID VACCINE STOCKS. Unbelievable blow-out: Average stock was up almost 9.5%! 

Vaxart exploded up 47%. NantKwest was up over 22%. 

Sorrento was up almost 18%. 

Fully 26 of these stocks were up with only one down.  Much of the carnage over the last 6 weeks was addressed in just one day.

 

Novavax continues as top stock among COVID VACCINE STOCKS after relatively flat returns this week.

A relatively flat week for COVID VACCINE STOCKS. The total return for these stocks dropped from 88% to 86%. 

Novavax is still the top stock by far with a 497% return in total, gaining from 481% last week. The top performer in the top ten this week was Heat Biologics with a return going up 24% this week to 233% since March 1. It has moved into second spot for the first time. 

The poorest performer was GeoVax whose return dropped by 55% his week, falling out of the top ten all the way down to 17th overall. 

IMV has moved into the top ten for the first time.

 

Flat finish to another down week - Vaxart gains 11%

Fifteen COVID VACCINE STOCKS up and 12 down. The average stock gained 0.5%. Quite a rare day without much happening. 

Still, Vaxart had an amazing day, up 11%. BioNTech was up over 6% and Atara had a 5% gain.

On the other hand, GeoVax dropped down more than 13% going down to under $5M market value. Generex also finished the week way down - falling over 6%.

 

Downdraft resumes. Nowhere to hide for COVID VACCINE STOCKS

Downdraft resumes after one day respite. 

Fully 21 stocks drop again while six manage a gains.

Little GeoVax got a lot smaller with a 7% drop. Vir fell 6% and Inovio fell 5%.

The average stock fell 1.7%. 

 

Strong bounce back day for COVID VACCINE STOCKS - ATARA leads

Best day since mid-August. Really strong bounce back day.  Atara lead the way with a 10% gain. Several other stocks managed high single digit gains: IMV, Novavax, Inovio, Adaptive Bio, Vir and iBio. 

The average stock gained 2.7% with 22 stocks on the upside and only five to the downside.

Geovax plummeted to its lowest level in months, dropping below $.40 down to $.36.

 

Moderna and Novavax Fall

Gut-wrenching drop for two of the main COVID VACCINE STOCKS: Moderna and Novavax.  Moderna has its worst day ever -- down 13%. Novavax drops over 8%. Hard to believe Moderna has shaved $9 B off its market value since mid-summer.  One investment adviser turned negative on Moderna arguing its prospects are "sharply to the negative."

Overall 16 stocks were down with 11 managing a gain. The average stock lost 1.8%.

Heat Biologics roared back with a gain of almost 12%. 

 

No new stocks in the bottom 10

Bottom 10 COVID VACCINE STOCKS relatively calm, but only CVAC and NNVC managed a positive week.

The losses continue for these stocks, but these bottom performers are not taking as much of the hit as the top performers.

 

Brutal week for COVID VACCINE STOCKS - Returns diminishing

Much more modest returns now for COVID VACCINE STOCKS. From well over a 250% return to down to just 88%. 

Novavax has fallen from a return of 573% down to just 481%. 

Only OncoSec Medical was able to increase the percentage return this week. Vaxart fell out of the top 10, falling from a return of 117% to just 72%. GeoVax managed to reclaim a spot in the top 10 as it only fell from a return of 115% to 100%.

SAME SAD PATTERN FOR COVID VACCINE STOCKS

Same pattern: a few COVID VACCINE STOCKS do well and slightly cushion the devastation all around them. The average loss today was 3.3%. This is of course unsustainable. We'll get to zero at some point here.

Only four stocks managed a gain: CureVac and PDS managed double digit gains. Everything else went straight south - some a long ways south.

Nano Viricides continues to give back its big gains from two days ago, with a loss of 12% today and Novavax has completed the long journey back below 100. Moderna has completed its own journey from a market cap of over $30 B down to under $25 B. 

 

Crashing COVID VACCINES STOCKS! Brutal sell-off continues

Terrible blood-letting continues. COVID VACCINE STOCKS provide no relief from down day on overall market.

The average one of these stocks lost 4.5% for one of the worst days since COVID began. Fully 23 of these stocks were down with only four on the upside -- and then only marginally.

The main bright point yesterday, Nano Viricides gave up a chunk of its hefty gains yesterday, falling over 12%. Adaptive Biotechnologies also fell 12%. Heat Biologics fell over 10%. Carnage was widespread.

 

Nano Viricides explodes up 42% to turn around flat day.

Nano Viricides will present positive information about its work on drug candidates to deal with COVID. As a result, NNVC had its best day since the crisis began - up over 42%. Geovax also had a good day, up over 10% after going down for several sessions. Overall, all COVID VACINNE STOCKS returned 1.6% today thanks to NNVC and GVAX.

Several others had great days as well, including BioNTech which was up over 7%. Vaxart and NantKwest also had strong days to arrest a very negative trend of late.

VBI lead the way downhill with a 7% loss after bucking the recent downward trend. Inovio was down almost 7%. Sorrento and Arcturus also had rough days, down over 4%.

Fifteen COVID vaccine stocks were up with 11 down and Heat Biologics was flat. 

VACCINE STOCKS COLLAPSING

The average COVID VACCINE STOCK fell just under 5%. Four of the 27 managed a modest gain.  Vir Biotechnology got killed:  down 16%. Arcturus Therapeutics collapsed 12%. Vaxart down almost 12%, VBI and Altimmune fell 10.5%. These were some of my favorites.....

The day sucked for these stocks pure and simple.
