Emergent BioSolutions - one of few winners today

The month ends on a gloomy day for these stocks. Only six are in the green while 21 dropped. NantKwest went in the ditch, falling almost 17% to lead on the downside. Inovio was down over 6%. Moderna had its worst day in some time, down almost 5% -- its market value down to $27.5 B.

Emergent BioSolutions broke the trend, up 14.5%. Sorrento, Altimmune, NanoViricides, Vir and GeoVax were the only other stocks to eke out a gain.

The average COVID VACCINE STOCK fell 2.4% today.

Turnaround day - Twice as many COVID VACCINE STOCKS up as down

Finally some green ink for the COVID VACCINE STOCKS. 18 were up and 9 down.

The average stock gained a full 3%.

Leading the way, with a late day charge, was Tonix Pharma with a gain of almost 17%. Altimmune also had a great day, up 16% while VBI had a 13.5% gain. Biondvax was the fourth COVID VACCINE STOCK with a double digit gain -- up just under 11%.

GeoVax continues to give back recent gains, falling from $1.50 last week down to just $0.71 now. Other small companies, OncoSec and NanoViricides, got smaller with 7% and 6% losses respectively.

OncoSec Medical up over 22% - Flat day otherwise

Summer doldrums for COVID VACCINE STOCKS. Fully 19 shares dropped today with only eight on the upside. The average loss for these stocks was 1.4% today. 

But for the outsize gain of OncoSec Medical of almost 23%, the average losses would be another percent lower. Nano Viricides and Heat Biologics also had very good days, up 8% percent each. 

iBio had the roughest day, down over 11% as did Vaxart, down 10.5%.

Moderna had a rough day, dropping below $80 and below $30 Billion in market value.

Flat day for COVID VACCINE STOCKS - Biondvax suffers 17% loss

Dog days of summer. The Covid Vaccine stocks on average dropped 2.9%. Only eight stocks were up, with 19 falling. 

OncoSec Medical was the top performer, up over 16%. Biondvax dropped a full 17% while VBI, Arcturus Therapeutics, Heat Biologics and Tonix Pharma all suffered double digit losses.

Flat day overall -- Arcturus and Moderna have good day

The bigger COVID VACCINE STOCKS tended to do much better than the smaller players today. Moderna, commencing its Phase III trials was a leading story in all the media, pushing the stock up over 9%. 

But the biggest winner today was Arcturus Therapeutics up almost 18% based on news that Singapore will begin a 108 person trial using its vaccine. PDS was up almost 9% as well, Sorrento was up almost 7% and Emergent was up just under 7%.

Geovax is giving back its recent gains, down 16% today. iBio, Altimmune and Tonix also suffered double digit losses today as well. Vaxart was down 9%.

In total, 14 COVID VACCINE STOCKS were up while 13 were down. On average, these stocks were down .75%.

Only two of the 27 COVID VACCINE STOCKS have lost money since March 1

Generex Biotechnology is still the poorest performer of the 27 COVID VACCINE STOCKS since March 1. 

Overall these stocks have returned 215% since then. Only two stocks have lost money: Generex and Nano Viricides.

NOVAVAX still stop COVID VACCINE STOCK -

Novavax still leads the way after turbulent week. GeoVax knocks Moderna out of the top 10, jumping up to 5th overall after breakout week.
