Vaxart, NantKwest, Vir and Generex up over 10% on a fairly quiet close to the 2nd Quarter

Vaxart continued its strong late June move, up over 18% today.  NantKwest (NK) was up 13.5% and Vir Biotechnology was up just under 13%.  Generex Biotechnology (GNBT) moved up over 10%. 

Inovio's press release on the results of a preliminary clinical trial did not overly impress as it was the weakest of the COVID VACCINE Stocks, falling just under 15%. GeoVax gave up half of its 29% gain from yesterday and iBio fell 11%.

Overall, these stocks turned in another positive day with 14 stocks up and 11 down. The average COVID VACCINE Stock gained about 1.6% for the quietest day we've seen in awhile.

In a press release, Inovio said its vaccine led to “immunological response rates” in 34 of 36 patients in the trial, but did not disclose how many patients produced antibodies that neutralize the coronavirus — data key to determining whether the vaccine could protect against infection.

GEOVAX SOARS 29% ON GOOD COVID TREATMENT NEWS - iBio also strong.

The smallest COVID VACCINE STOCK, GEOVAX, lead the way today with an amazing 29% increase after the CEO David Dodd said tremendous progress is being made to treat covid.

IBIO also had a double digit gain today - up over 13% for the second best performance of the 25 COVID VACCINE STOCKS. 

Red hot Novavax (up 8%) and Inovio (up 5%) continued to move up. NantKwest was also up over 8%. 

On the down side, Nano Viricides (NNVC) fell the most with a loss of almost 8%. Vaxart, VIR, Biondvax and Dynavax also had rough days, falling in the 6% range.

In total, 13 COVID VACCINE STOCKS were up and 12 were down. Moderna posted a gain today after trailing some of the other key vaccine stocks.

Overall, it was a positive day with the average stock gaining over 2%. 

Amazing week for COVID VACCINE STOCKS puts INOVIO back on top

INOVIO roars back to #1 with blowout week - now has returned 600% since March 1. Novavax just under 400% now is in 2nd. Moderna bumped out of the top 10 by Vaxart after VXRT exploded upwards this week.

The return on the COVID VACCINE Stocks rocketed up to a total return for all 25 of 122% since March 1 up from just 67% at this time last week. 

Insane week for COVID VACCINE STOCKS finally ends - IBIO and VXRT roaring ahead.

Insane day to end insane week for the COVID VACCINE STOCKS. Those stocks under $1 Billion market value finally had a great day while those above paid back today after major tear. 

IBIO was at the top today: up by one third. Vaxart, which is now part of Operation Warp Speed continues going up the elevator - up just under 30% today after nitro explosion yesterday.  ALT, HTBX and GOVX were all up over 10% today.

Alternatively, TBIO dropped over 20% and NK, ARCT and VIR all fell more than 10%. 

All told, the average COVID VACCINE STOCK managed a gain of over 2% on a terrible Friday sell-off for the market as a whole. 13 of the 25 were up. 

We need a weekend to catch our breath.

VAXART DOUBLES IN VALUE - ANOTHER EXPLOSIVE DAY FOR COVID VACCINE STOCKS

Having some trouble coming up with words for this blow out week for COVID VACCINE Stocks. I guess today, June 25, 2020 is, in fact, the day to remember rather than Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. 

Vaxart almost doubled in value today, up over 96%. Poor Inovio, with its mere 31% return, was a distant second. Nano Viricides (NNVC) was up a paltry 20% and Sorrento, only 14%.

The average COVID VACCINE Stock was up an average 9%. That is as much as Berkshire Hathaway averages in a good year. 17 of these stocks were up today and eight down. There were 7 COVID VACCINE stocks in the top 100. 

Another great day for COVID VACCINE stocks - VXRT and VIR lead the way

COVID VACCINE STOCKS were a major bright stop in a down day for the market overall. Fully 17 of the 25 stocks were up - some like Vaxart (VXRT) and VIR had amazing days - up 20% and 19% respectively. Translate Bio, Novavax and Inovio also had double digits gains. Arcturus and Sorrento had strong days as well. 

The average COVID VACCINE stock was up 4.3%, just slightly less than yesterday's average. A remarkable nine COVID VACCINE Stocks were in the Barrons top 100 stocks for the second day in a row. These are great stocks to own at the moment. Bad news on the Corona virus front which we are getting at the moment is great news for these stocks.
